Dear Parents,

Since September, the children have progressed and developed in many areas.  Your continued commitment to your child's learning has been an important factor in helping make this term a successful one for all the children in Room 204. Thank you for taking the time to read together and for helping your child understand the big ideas in the stories you share. With your daily support, the children are developing a love of reading as well as important social skills. Your partnership in encouraging your child to understand and appreciate differences is helping to develop friendships and the empathy and kindness needed to make our classroom a positive and safe place to learn.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank those parent volunteers who have helped us this term in the classroom and within our school community. Your time and effort are greatly appreciated by the staff and children.

During this winter break, I hope that you and your family can relax and enjoy some time together. We return to school on Monday, January 7, 2013.  Have a safe and happy holiday,

PS  Thank you for your donations towards WWF. The children are excited that they have helped protect all endangered animals and their habitats.  We can't wait to receive our classroom snow leopard!
