Dear Families,
These past two weeks our class has been very
fortunate in having a student teacher, Ms. Tina Amir, work with us. The children have enjoyed working with her
and have benefited from the kind, caring and calm support she has given them. This week, Ms. Amir focused on helping the
children with their math and science. With small groups of students, she
introduced and investigated solids, liquids and gases by conducting several
science experiments. In Math, she helped the children with learning to solve
simple math word problems and with their basic number facts to ten and/or
twenty. We have enjoyed learning with her and wish her the best as she completes
her future classroom placements.
Next week, we will be having a Halloween parade in
the afternoon of Wednesday, October 31st. Your child may bring his/her costume
to school in a bag to change into for the afternoon (or they can change at home
if they are going home for lunch). Please remember that no weapons of any kind will be allowed, even if they are an
important part of the costume. The
children may also choose to wear black and orange to school.
Lastly, please note the class contact list is
being sent home today with the families who wished to be included. Please check
that the information is correct; if I have made any errors, let me know and I
will revise the list.
Have a wonderful weekend together.
Thank you for your continued support and
encouragement.
