Our First Field Trip

On Thursday the children visited Warren Park.  We had a great day outdoors and learned some interesting facts about animals, nature and our role in protecting the environment.

Thank you to all the parent volunteers who came with us on our field trip. Your support helped to make the trip a safe and fun experience.

Here are some pictures the children made about our trip. We will post more drawings and stories when they are completed.

We went to Warren Park today and I drew the woods.  In the woods my mom found fungus.  We saw 4 woodpeckers and other people saw 3 or 2.  My favourite part was when someone found so many bugs in a log. It was cool. I found a tree stump that looked like a chair.

When I went to Warren Park I saw a bird's nest.  It was high up in a tree.  We saw a squirrel's nest too.  We took a school bus there. We had fun!

At Warren Park I saw a stump with a star shaped hole.  In the class, we learned that another word for poop is scat.  I saw a dead fox (inside the class) and it was so,so soft! At lunch we got hot chocolate.
